BAROQUE Studio
2023 | Kiryat Ono
The studio was designed and renovated as a Pilates and dance space within the Kiryat Ono Country Club, through the adaptation of an existing space to a new program. The design included reorganization of the internal layout, the creation of a dedicated area for equipment-based Pilates, the renovation of the entrance and waiting areas, and the adaptation of the dance studio for professional use. The project was carried out within a limited budget and a tight three-month schedule, and under the constraints of a space leased from the municipality, requiring careful integration of existing elements and systems that could not be altered.
The work focused on integrating functionality, privacy, and user experience, through the use of natural light, warm materiality, and custom-designed carpentry and gypsum elements tailored to the studio’s needs and the client’s requested character. The project included full involvement throughout the construction phase, close coordination with the client and suppliers, and hands-on supervision through material selection, lighting fixtures, decorative elements, and final on-site styling.
Pilates & Dance Studio | Independent Project

The design created a clear separation between the Pilates studio, the dance studio, and the entrance area, while maintaining smooth circulation between the spaces and efficient use of the existing area.
In the main dance studio, dedicated adjustments were made, including a professional dance floor and lighting tailored for dance classes and group training sessions, while maintaining a consistent design language throughout the studio.

The Pilates studio was designed as a single open and light-filled space, incorporating frosted glass windows that allow natural light to enter while maintaining the privacy of the trainees. Full-height mirrors were integrated along the walls to support precise body awareness during training, alongside a custom gypsum niche designed for equipment storage and hanging, serving as both a functional and visually present element within the space.

The entrance lobby was designed as a welcoming and comfortable space, serving as a point of transition and gathering before and after training sessions. The area includes a reception desk, a coffee corner, and a comfortable waiting zone with a continuous built-in seating niche along the wall.
As part of the renovation, the existing restrooms were upgraded, and a hand-washing area was added, integrated with a full-length mirror to enhance the sense of space. The use of parquet flooring and a warm material palette was intended to create a homely and calm atmosphere, balancing everyday functionality with a pleasant user experience.
